IABC Triangle Monthly Professional Development Meeting
Join IABC Triangle and Jim Morgan, founder of TeamTrainers Consulting, for an engaging talk on active listening.

Learn effective listening skills that deliver business benefits including reduced miscommunication and conflicts at both work and in personal relationships. Come to discover the scientific findings on when, how and why to practice active listening skills.

Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Time: 6 p.m. for networking and dinner; program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Upcoming Professional Meeting: February 9

Mark your calendar for IABC Triangle’s February professional development meeting featuring speaker Roger Friedensen of Forge Communications who will discuss public relations strategies. The meeting will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Meredith College. Full details will be posted on the IABC Triangle Web site on January 15, 2010.

Upcoming Leadership Institute

Each year, IABC hosts its Leadership Institute, a conference where IABC board members from around the globe come together to share best practices for running IABC chapters.

This year, IABC Triangle board member Abbie Kiefer will be attending the conference from Jan 28-30, 2010 in San Diego. We look forward to Abbie bringing back some excellent ideas for our chapter.

Seeking Speakers for NCSU PRSA Event

The NC State chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is seeking two speakers for a panel discussion to address the topic of how public relations, marketing and advertising differs between a corporate setting and an agency setting. The panel discussion will take place on February 24, 2010 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at NC State. If you are interested in being a speaker, contact Shannon Helm at shannonh@nc.rr.com. You must be an IABC member to participate.
