Monthly Professional Development Meeting:
Branding at Red Hat

Join IABC Triangle and Jonathan Opp, senior manager of brand communications and design, for an instructional talk on branding at Red Hat. Jonathan will discuss how Red Hat’s brand and culture not only align, but are inseparable. Red Hat is one of the most recognized open source brands in the world. The company views open source as an inspiration and a foundation for who they are.

Jonathan will speak about how companies are more challenged than ever in communicating their corporate brand to consumers. In today’s environment, consumers have a stronger voice than ever before and communities are empowered creators of content. Powerful branding comes when a company and its culture are authentic. The trick is to tap into the power of having passionate consumers help you spread your message for you.

Date: Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Time: Noon for networking and lunch; program begins at 12:30 p.m.

Merry Mingle Wrap-Up

More than 130 people came together for holiday networking at The Merry Mingle earlier this month. Food items and cash donations were collected for the Interfaith Food Shuttle's Backpack Buddies Program. A few pictures can be found in our Facebook Page Merry Mingle Photo Album. A great big "Thank you!" goes to Charles Gupton of MindFire, for donating his excellent photography skills that evening.
