IABC February Program
How to Build a Sustainable Word-of-Mouth Movement

For marketers, generating authentic, genuine word-of-mouth about your brand is the name of the game. But how do you create a sustainable word-of-mouth movement — one that engages passionate fans both on and offline — and builds and connects a community of true brand ambassadors?

Geno Church, Word of Mouth Inspiration Officer for Brains on Fire, will give tips on how marketers can create a sustainable word-of-mouth movement, how to find people to engage the brand, how to manage the community once it's started and finally, how to evaluate the movement's success. Church will reference specific case studies, including the Fiskars Brand Ambassador movement, the Fiskateers, as well as the EFFIE award-winning Rage Against the Haze movement.
