IABC December Program:
Going Solo: The Joys and Hazards of Working for Yourself

Have you been dreaming about becoming your own boss? Or has an unforeseen circumstance like a layoff left no other option? If you're interested in working for yourself, join us for a panel discussion with three communicators from The Independent Communicators Alliance (ICA). The ICA is a Triangle-based association that provides networking, support and collaboration for freelance and small-shop communications professionals.

Three ICA board members — a writer/public relations professional, a marketing consultant and a graphic/web designer — will talk about their experiences as independent communicators, what it takes to become independent, and other considerations involved with setting up independent businesses.

Lunch will be provided. Please join us for this casual panel discussion.

Date: December 8, 2008
Time: Noon
Location: Morrisville Chamber of Commerce
