Our Chapter:
2008 Chapter Survey Results:
Your Input Has Been Heard

Thank you to those who participated in our March survey. The online survey was a chance for our 100+ members to "Be Heard," in accordance with our international association's brand and mission. The IABC NC Triangle board was pleased to have 35 percent of the chapter members respond.

According to your feedback, our twice-monthly e-mails are effective in keeping you informed. One hundred percent of survey respondents rely on the e-mails to inform them of our monthly meetings. In addition, 85 percent said information received from the chapter is sufficient for keeping them informed of chapter programs and services.

Meeting time preferences were split down the middle with 51 percent favoring lunchtime programs and 54 percent voting for after-work programs. The IABC Triangle board has introduced some variety in our meeting times, having had a few of our recent programs during the lunch hour. About a quarter (29 percent) of respondents said they would be interested in breakfast meetings as well.

Responses as to where you would like meetings to take place indicate that our members are spread far and wide in the Triangle. A majority of people said that our usual Morrisville Chamber of Commerce location works well for them, but several people would like to attend a meeting in downtown Raleigh, North Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill. (We'll work on this in the coming program year.)

Networking is the overwhelming reason for belonging to IABC. Education/training offered via local meetings, job listings and online resources are other top reasons for being an IABC member.

Thanks again to all those who completed the survey. We value your input, and we will consider your feedback as we plan the 2008-2009 program year.
